Reasons to Come to Convention 2017 in Charlotte

There once was a convention

And you probably know the intention

We will all gather

And wouldn't you rather

Come check out a new dimension

 

The place is Charlotte, N C

November 2017 is when it will be

Come one, come all

We'll be there next fall

There will be so much to do and see

 

Reverend Barber will speak the truth

To our elders and to all of the youth

You'll have time to reflect

On which sessions to select

And to visit the exhibits and all of the booths

 

Christian social workers will be there

Each of us with our own flair

You are invited

A spirit ignited

Come learn and grow and share

 

The theme is advocating for peace

We will join forces and fly like the geese

Reconciliation is our goal

To be made whole

And to see injustices cease

 

Our focus is on our communities

That’s where we see opportunities

To spread love not hate

We will advocate

For coming together in unity

 

I think that's all I should say

To not give too much away

You really will love it

It will fill your spirit

When you leave you will say "yay," okay?
