NACSW's Liability Insurance Plan

NACSW is pleased to offer professional liability insurance to its members who practice social work and mental health counseling services in the United States. 

The NACSW insurance program, administered by the American Professional Agency, provides coverage to meet a wide range of insurance needs. As such, the following NACSW members are eligible to apply for insurance coverage:

• Self-employed or consulting/per diem social workers or counselors with an MSW, MA, or similar (or more advanced) clinical degree
• Practicing social workers or counselors (with either a BSW or MSW or similar degrees) who work for a social service organization 
• Social work interns 
• Pastors/clergy

In order to obtain the most competitive rates possible and to provide insurance that would meet a wide range of insurance needs appropriate for its diverse membership, NACSW selected an insurance plan that covers practitioners in a variety of disciplines.

Student Interns

Student interns are eligible for an alternative plan that costs approximately $30 per year. To access current rates for insurance coverage for students as well as to download an application form, students should go to: http://www.americanprofessional.com/student/index.htm
