NACSW
Convention Proceedings 2002

Welcome to the Proceedings of NACSW's 52nd Annual Convention and Training Conference

Rochester, NY  *** November 7-10, 2002

This year for the first time, NACSW has compiled a conference proceedings comprised of a sampling of materials presented during workshops and poster sessions during its Convention 2002 in Rochester, NY on November 7-10, 2002.

Prior to the convention, NACSW invited all workshop and poster presenters to submit a copy of a paper based on the materials they would be presenting during the convention. Since the goal was to collect as many papers as possible, and to make them available as quickly as possible, no specific requirements were made with regard to length or formatting. Even detailed presentation outlines were accepted for inclusion in this proceedings.

As such, the papers you will find below are are varying length, structure, and styles. Except for some very basic formatting, submissions did not undergo a formal editing process. Our hope is that the following collection of papers, while not a formal publication, will provide a service to current NACSW members in extending the impact and reach of the materials presented at  Convention 2002, especially to those who were not able to attend the convention.

Rick Chamiec-Case, MSW, MAR

Executive Director
