Volunteer Opportunities

Student Volunteers

What should I expect as a student volunteer? As a volunteer you can expect to spend some of your time (up to six hours) at the convention providing assistance to help the conference run smoothly. You will be assigned tasks such as monitoring workshops, helping with set-up and take-down, or assisting with registration, etc.

Please note that you must be available to volunteer for up to 6 hours on the days you indicate as your first and second preference on your Student Volunteer Registration form. The success of the conference depends on volunteers, so NACSW expects depends on its student volunteers to be responsible in fulfilling their volunteer assignments.

How do I sign up to be a student volunteer? You can register online to be a student volunteer at NACSW’s Convention 2014 in Annapolis by going to http://www.nacsw.org/cgibin/eventpro.cgi. Submit your completed application and payment to NACSW online by October 17, 2014.  The registration rates for students are:
$105   Student Non-member Rate (includes 6-month NACSW membership at no additional cost)

$90     Student Member Rate (applies to current individual members of NACSW only)
These student registration rates includes attendance to all convention workshop sessions, plenary sessions and banquet, but not preconvention institutes.
