Join staff from the Council on Social Work Education as they present information on the 2022 Educational Policies and Accreditation Standards (EPAS) and provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions and discuss trends related to social work education.

Megan Fujita , Ph.D., MSW

Megan Fujita is the Executive Director of Accreditation at the Council on Social Work Education where she oversees accreditation operations of more than 900 social work programs and post-Master’s fellowship programs in the U.S. Dr. Fujita has served in a variety of administrative roles at universities, focused on assessment, evaluation and curriculum development. Megan holds a Ph.D. in education policy and Masters of Social Work in interpersonal practice and mental health. She is a lecturer at George Washington University where she teaches statistics; and holds a faculty affiliate appointment at George Mason University’s College of Education and Human Development, where her research focuses on college decision-making and mental health among students with disabilities.

Katie “Kat” Gibson-Ledl, BSW, LMSW-Macro serves as the Director for Accreditation Services at the Council on Social Work Education. Kat leads a team of 6 who provide services to 930 accredited and candidate social work programs across the United States and its territories as well as administer the International Social Work Degree Recognition and Evaluation Service. Kat also directs accreditation services design and delivery, policy, and communication efforts for the department. Her background and future pursuits reflect the intersection between higher education and the social work profession. Kat is a licensed macro social worker. Her passions include whole wellness, literacy, and cultivating healthy workplace culture.
