Based within an accredited social work program (BSW and/or MSW). The program joins NACSW as an Organizational Member, which covers one Faculty Liaison and makes every student in the campus chapter an NACSW member at no additional cost. Faculty involvement is a defining feature of this chapter type.

The Faculty Liaison
Each university chapter has a Faculty Liaison who is a member of the faculty and a member of NACSW, affiliated with the department that oversees social work student activities. The liaison provides guidance and support as the chapter establishes and maintains itself, and is the chapter’s point of contact with NACSW.
Joining a Chapter
If you are a student in a program with a chapter, your NACSW membership is already covered by your program’s Organizational Membership — there is no charge to you. Ask your Faculty Liaison to add you to the chapter; you will receive an invitation to set up your own NACSW account, which gives you member access to publications, resources, JobNet, member rates for conferences and training, and the rest of the member benefits. Your membership runs as long as your program’s membership does.
If your program does not have a chapter yet, starting one takes two students and a faculty member willing to serve as Faculty Liaison. See Starting a Chapter.
If you are not a student — faculty, practitioners, and everyone else — join NACSW directly on the Membership page.
