Continuing Education Contact Hours (CEs)

CE Credits for the Onsite Convention

NACSW, provider #1078, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. The final authority for approving any continuing education activity rests with the state or province in which the participant is licensed. Training participants are still responsible to check with their local authorities to verify that convention offerings meet their jurisdictional standards for continuing education credit and/or licensure renewal. Even states accepting ACE approval may have exceptions for courses they will approve.

NACSW is able to offer CEs for all workshop sessions, plenary and panel sessions, and preconvention institutes. NACSW is not able to offer CEs for: poster presentations; community conversations meeting; small group networking meetings; educator’s forum; and devotions and worship. If you attend the preconvention institutes, all plenary sessions, the panel presentation, and one workshop during each workshop time slot, you could receive up to 20 continuing education contact hours.

Requirements to Receive CE Credits:

Attendees that request CEs will link to a webpage that has been set up for participants to log each workshop, preconvention institute, and plenary session they participated in for the entire convention. Please note CEs are an additional fee of $50.

In order to receive credit for attending a CE-eligible session, attendees must:

  • sign in, sign out, and attend the entire session
  • complete/submit online an evaluation for that session
  • at the end of the convention, check off on the CE Documentation Form (form “live” in September) that they have attended that session

Additional Session Information:

To access additional information about all convention CE sessions (learning objectives, session outlines, primary audience and level of presentation, etc.), refer to the convention abstracts posted online.
